Wild Radish is typically found in farm fields, parks, roadsides, neglected gardens, and not usually in home lawns. The leaf is deeply indented and covered with stiff hairs giving it a bristly feel to the touch. Wild Radish germinates in fall and grows low to the ground in rosette form (10-14 inches wide) until in late winter or early spring when it forms a flower stem 12 to 32 inches in height. The flowers are ½ to ¾ inch in width and are white to pale yellow. The root is a tap root and has a distinctive radish odor.
