An annual plant/weed spreading by seeds, Plants flower from late spring well into summer. It is a problem in crop fields and also grows in waste areas and disturbed sites. Usually not considered aggressive but if ignored can become quite a problem. Mowing or tilling before weeds flower will control this but it produces seed much earlier than crops are harvested.

Mustards are resistant to many herbicides but herbicides containing dicamba have been proven to work best.
