Parsley-piert is an annual species of plant that ranges in height from 1-3 inches tall. The plant mainly grows close to the ground which is often not affected by mowing. The leaves of the plant have a cone-shaped toothed portion at the base that covers the stem. The leaves of the plant have 3 lobes or dents that have 3 more lobes inside each of the lobes, looking very similar to herb Parsley. The difference being that the Parsley-piert is a winter annual that germinates in the fall, grows during warm periods of winter, being dormant during the cold, then going to seed in the early spring when the weather warms up.
