Milkweed Bloodflower is a perennial species of plant that can mainly be found in the southern United States, but can be an annual in the Transitional Zone up into the Northern US. The plant has opposite leaves that are elliptical and narrow in shape, around 5 inches long. The plant can range in height from 3-5 feet and have multiple branches. The flowers of the plant are red to orange that generally grow in clusters that are 2-4 inches wide.
