A perennial, that is a member of the aster family. Likes to grow in grassy areas, crops and roadsides. The fibrous root grows into a 3-5’ tall branching stem. Leaves can grow up to 5’ Long and 3” wide. They are oval in shape and coarsely serrated along the margins. Daisies like flowers are 2-3 ½” across, light to golden yellow with a central disk that is darker. False Sunflower has multiple flowers per stem, mid sum into fall.
