Marestail is an annual plant that is found in most areas of the United States. Its height ranges from 1-6 feet, but more commonly in found between 1-3 feet tall. The plant is distinct in its shape as it grows in an upright and erect fashion but being only 3-4 inches across. The leaves are narrow in width and almost like blades of grass coming from the stem. The flowers of the plant are white to pinkish in color growing in clusters called florets. The stem of the plant also has coarse hairs that give it a look of being fuzzy. Marestail is also known for its single long taproot that can go extremely deep into the soil.
